Sure we get Draconians back, albeit we have to work up to it, but nonetheless its cheap enough that fans can get it if they really want it and it adds enough to give you weeks if not months of gameplay. That being said, the Dragon Dawn DLC is a bit mid for 10 bucks when there's no dragon riding or even a dragon riding hero/villain option. The DLC's could very well be good starting points for someone to make a Zendikar themed mod, and depending on what else is released, could branch out to other MTG realms. But thats just me going off on a tangent. It easily translates to the fantasy setting, what with portals or if PDX wanted to elevate and build upon Planetfall, even include a realm-faring astral ship that can be upgraded and sent to different realms (and if Triumph adds in a map editor thats noob friendly enough, maybe allow us to play on every other player's shared custom maps), possibly encounter some Lost Wizards and Astral monsters along the way. What's really missing is an empire mode that was in Planetfall. All in all the quality of life improvements will be coming and the game will age like fine wine. Little things that help make it easier for players to create their own stories. Or like another PDX title Stellaris, let us rename tiles or buildings/wonders. To be honest, I was hoping we'd get a bar for the world spells, it can get tiring spamming Create Forest and other terraforming, army, province, etc. It seems new titles nowadays always lose something from the previous title that was a good component and you'd think it'd be a staple for the series, but I get how 4 is just trying out something new. I do miss having a tree as a city and not having to rely on barbarian for the druid builds. It is kinda barebones after coming from those titles but it is still up in the air whether any of those return. That being said, it kinda sucks we lose some of the previous title's stuff, like rogue, thaumaturge, druid, etc. I will say, the AI is a bit of a slog when doing auto-battles and some of the models clip or go rainbow when you add too many transformations, but I will say this throughout, this is a game that takes time. So far its been the same bumpy road as with any other Age of Wonders title, with a game this decently sized, theres bound to be bugs and even more so when you start fiddling with mods and then have DLC's release simultaneously. To start off, I'd like to thank PDX and Triumph for making a game you can sink hours and get lost in.
